The Colorado Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence (Colorado CoE) works with health departments to build capacity to track and investigate foodborne and enteric diseases. We provide training, resources, and consultation and conduct practice-based projects to better understand the problem of foodborne and enteric diseases and inform model practices.

Established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2012 under the authority of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the Colorado CoE is a collaboration between the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Colorado School of Public Health. We are one of five Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence along with Minnesota, New York , Tennessee, and Washington
